a little backstory about the film
This film was made to compete in the "GaijinPot 6-Word Video Contest". The rules were simple: create a short movie with the theme “Relationships in Japan” and use a 6-word sentence in it. Given the tight deadlines, the film was made in 3 days and sent to gaijinpot.com. However, due to a problem with the shipping form, the video never arrived at its destination and I only found out that when the nominees were announced. My attempts to contact the Gaijinpot editorial team were of no use since (despite emails, messages on Instagram and the help form) they never replied to me. The only consolation I have is that we live in an era in which sharing media is within everyone's reach, so here is this short film that I made thanks to the help of my ever-present muse Nana Murakami. Hope you like it.
